Weddings are big news in any family and I am sure that in your family it will be earth shattering. The joy and jubilations will be enormous. This means that the more you spend the more they are going to make, this could means that an unreputable wedding planner might lead you to spend more money that you need to in order to get a higher paycheck. Of course these planners will be few and far between but should need to ask him or her if you will have any say in the vendors that you use. This way if you find a better one you will be able to choose them instead of the planners pick.
Wedding planners are great tools and I would recommend them to everyone. Planning a wedding on your own is just to stressful. This should be a fun time for the happy couple not a time of worry and stress. Using a wedding planner puts the fun back into it.
Decorations are another big decision you are going to have to make. First of all you want your decorations to match your theme. Your wedding theme can be anything, traditional, Victorian, 50's rock and roll, whatever you think would be fun and that you would enjoy. This is your day, make it a dream come true. People always talk about how women dream their whole lives about this special day but men do have minds of their own and perhaps they would like a say in the wedding decorations. Make sure that you decide on the decorations as a couple. You should both be completely satisfied with your choices. If you are not then it should be back to the drawing board until you are.
The decorations for the wedding are going to cost you a fortune, that is a simple fact but you can at least keep it sown to a small fortune if you plan accordingly. For instance, watch your flower usage. I know that flowers are one of the most common decorations at weddings and they should be they are fabulous but they can cost you an arm and a leg and you might need these appendages once you are married. There are many ways in which you can save on the flower bill. One sure fire way is to cut back on the number of blooms that you use. Foe example if you have bouquets n each table have two or three less blooms per bouquet. Add some more greenery in their place. This will look just as gorgeous but it will cost you hundreds of dollars less, maybe even thousands if you are having a really big wedding.
Also consider purchasing in season flowers as opposed to out of season ones. If you have to send away for flowers you are gong to be paying way more for them. Local flowers will cost you a fraction of what out of season ones will and they are beautiful.
Balloons will be your saving grace if you are trying to save money at your wedding. Balloons add color and whimsy to any wedding and they are much less expensive than flowers. Use them to take some of the pressure off of your flower arrangements.
Whatever you do, do not forget to plan for your honeymoon in the midst of all the other planning going on. Your honeymoon will be the first days that you spend together as husband and wife. This trip needs to be something that you will both enjoy to the fullest. It needs to be the perfect way to start your life together. Choose a destination that has activities that you can do together not apart after all that is what it is all about.
